A World Without Music

Can you imagine a world without music? The thought is extremely depressing. I couldn't handle not having music in my life. The radio or a cd must be playing when I'm driving, and I cannot clean my house without having something bee-bopping in the background.

My music collection exploded when I discovered mp3s. I love 70s and 80s pop and rock. Songs I haven't heard in years brought back memories with each search for an artist in an mp3 download program. I was in heaven when I found Napster and was disgusted when the site was brought down. While I feel mp3s should be free, I have found a few paid programs where I can legally download music. Sites such as: K-lite

and Unlimited Downloads

The Internet has made music more important to me. I can't imagine not having mp3s in my life.

MP3s-Are they legal

Everyone has a thought on the legality of mp3 and movie downloads but let's be realistic. For every site that the government shuts down, a dozen more pop up. It started with music but has moved on to movies, tv shows and video games. What person hasn't downloaded a file or two for their own enjoyment and who is it really hurting? The small-time artist is getting his/her music out there and free advertising; the established artist can afford to be generous. There are hundreds of websites to download entertainment and allow you to burn them to CD/DVD.
